Blue Skies and Sunshine

This past weekend I went to a combined stake YSA activity in St. George. Can I just tell you that one day I am retiring in the great land of St. Geezy. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! It was in the upper 70's and I just wanted to stay there forever. It was a very fun and eventful day!

In the morning we heard from two church speakers. Their talks were on marriage and education. You know the topics they usually talk about to single people. ha. Then we all ate lunch outside. Afterwards we went on the temple grounds and just walked around.

We were to then do a scavenger hunt knocking on doors and collecting supplies for humanitarian aid. I was at first a little sceptical, but it ended up being my favorite activity of the day! It feels so good to serve others! As college students I think we tend to get selfish. We don't mean to, but we all get caught up in our busy schedules and tend to focus on ourselves. We got tons of supplies, and we even helped one lady rake her leaves in her yard. After we were done we all went to a park and took a nap.

Then dinner was provided for us. A bunch of us stayed after and played a game of football. There is nothing like a fun group of friends playing games outside on a summer night. (ok so it isn't summer but it felt like it ;)

A few of my friends had never been through the Butt Crack up by Dixie Rock, so we went and did that. Its just this small opening (crack) you have to crawl all the way through. Then we went to the dance and after got a snack at Wendy's before heading back to Cedar.

A PERFECT day if I do say so myself. Days like these make everything worth while :)

Birdy!

Ok listen up! I have a new favorite singer at the moment! Her name is Birdy, she is from Britain, and she is only 15 years old! I discovered her from the wonderful Ellen DeGeneres. She was on her show today, and I was blown away! She has a whole CD. Check out her videos on youtube, or songs on itunes! Here is the music video of the song she sang on Ellen though. Enjoy! You'll be blown away!

There is an official music video of this song too, but I actually prefer her live version!

had to share this one too!

Time Flies

Friends going out to eat at Sizzlers

Best Friends at my favorite restaurant Psing Toa

Friends going bowling!

Sometimes it seems like yesterday that I was attending my first day of school down at SUU. And now I have only 49 days until I will be graduating with my associates! I cannot believe two years have already gone by! There were lots of fun times, hard times, and difficult moments, but I have grown SO much because of all my experiences. I am a completely different person than I was two years ago!

I am so excited because this spring break three of my best friends and myself finalized where we will be living this summer and fall! We found some cute apartments in Provo. It will be nice to move back up North and be closer to home. I am planning on attending UVU, working somewhere in Provo, and best of all riding the BUS! ha ha thats right. I am a poor college student who is trying to save her money, so unfortunately won't have a car.

This spring break was a blast though! I just went home (to save money) But i was able to see a lot of old friends from High School, and it was great catching up with everyone!

It's crazy how things change. Most of my guy friends from school are on missions! Many are coming back this year! Brandon only has 169 days left! Woot Woot!! :) A lot of people are getting engaged as well, which is always exciting! It will be crazy to see where we will all be in the next 5 years or so!!

Life is great though! I cant take anything for granted! I am so blessed with the examples I have in my life, and the happiness the gospel brings me. Hope everyone had a great spring break! Now its time to hit the books, and party up the last month and a half i'll have in Cedar!
