"You Matter to Him"

So this Semester was a lot of fun, but I must say I had many struggles and a lot of hard moments as well. There were times when I was comparing myself to others and feeling really inadequate about myself. Then I remembered Uchtdorfs talk "You Matter to Him" and it really helped me get a better perspective and made me realize everyone is important in the eyes of god.

Happy Holidays everyone!

You Know its finals week when..

1. Every single facebook status on the News feed has to do with finals one way or another.
2.You can't remember the last time you saw your roommate.
3.Your lucky when you get more than 5 hours of sleep at night.
4.Meals consist of whatever you can take into the library.
5.You've done more course evaluations than you can count.
6.There are more people in the library than you have seen all semester.
7.You look like a bum in sweats and you don't care.
8.When your studying on a Saturday night.
9.you can't find your pencil which is located in your hand.
10. When you want to jump off a cliff

Somehow I made it through... I survived. Idk how.. but i did. Also a fun little video my friend Courtney made about finals week, that helped me put a smile on my face through this HECK of a week.

So True...ha

Tis the Season to be Jolly!

This year I am so excited for Christmas! Probably more than usual! I think part of it, is because I just did a lot of fun things to get me in the Holiday spirit! There were 20 of us who went on a group Holiday date. We had a Christmas Scavenger hunt that included things such as, take a picture or video of you with a snowman, santa, doing a random act of kindness, climbing a tree, caroling, fake proposal, fake break up, in a winter wonderland, acting out the nativity scene, ect. Then we made sugar cookies. Such fun times!

Ugly sweater Party.

I haven't made A Ginger Bread house in AGES, so it was fun to do that, and get into the Christmas Spirit.

You know your a college student when...

1. Your on facebook and pinterest more than doing homework
2. Getting a letter in the mail is like winning the lottery
3. Going to the library is a social event
4.Going to bed at midnight is early
5.You start thinking and sounding like your roommate
6.Wal-Mart is the coolest store
7.Your always there if the words "Free Food" is mentioned
8. You know more about T.V shows than your next assignment
9. If you consider mac and cheese a balanced meal
10.When you find yourself taking clothes out of your laundry hamper on a regular basis cause you get so lazy to do laundry.

This is SO true for me. ha ha.

Girls Weekend

Besties for life!
In the freezing cold blizzard!

So my best friends came down for a weekend to spend time with Elsha and I. It had been A LONG time since we had all seen each other. I've met some great people in college, but I will never be able to replace these girls. They are my best friends. They have always been there for me, and we have such great times together! We can be so crazy at times, but also know how to have serious and deep chats.

One experience this weekend I will never forget is we got invited to hang out with some people up in a cabin, we went in a blizzard, and there was a lot of off roading, by the time we headed back home the blizzard was so bad, that the trucks wouldn't make it up this huge hill. It was bad! All the guys were all out trying to push the trucks up the hill, we tried to have the best attitude we could about it, and just were laughing and having a good time, trying not to freeze our butts off. ha ha. We finally were able to cram into one truck that was able to make it up the hill and head back home. Experiences like that are all worth while.

VEGAS!

There is nothing like getting away for a weekend and going to Vegas. Our football team was playing UNLV so we went for that, but then we of course did some shopping and site seeing and other touristy things you do. It was such a fun get away! I put together a little video of our trip.

My Best Friend

YES... This reminds me of Elsha to a T
Ok so i'll admit it... College this year at times has NOT been easy. Luckily I have an amazing roommate and a best friend that is always there for me! Her name is Elsha! I know that my heavenly father put her in my path and made it possible for her to be my roommate. In most ways we are complete opposites, but I feel thats why we get a long so well! Honestly we haven't been in ONE fight, which I am so grateful for, because i'm always hearing about crazy roommate stories. She has helped me through some crazy times more than she will ever know! Together we have both traveled through some bumpy times. I love how we can have DM's (Deep and Meaningfulls) yet we can be completely hyper and crazy too. She will be a life long friend, and I will always appreciate everything she has done for me!

HOWL

Cliff Jumping!

So I never thought I would see the day where i would agree to do something as crazy and stupid as jump of huge cliffs into a lake... it actually was a blast though! A few friends and I went to Sand Hallow to go cliff jumping. It was my first time, and its definitely something I would love to do again!

Homecoming Week!

So sometimes I wonder why is it called homecoming week. Especially in college. It's not really like its our home, and whats even weirder is there isn't even a dance at our school, so it really isn't like homecoming at all. ha ha. However there are some fun activities that go on during the week.
Powder Puff. We dominated for the 2nd year in a row!
Pep Rally/Fireworks

The Big Game!

Start with a BANG!

The beginning of the school year started off with a BANG! There were so many fun activities going on for welcome back week. There was a mud slip and slide, a bubble gum world record to set, an 80's dance, an Allred concert, and a bonfire. Somehow college students get all their work done... despite the fun activities and all nighters we pull.

Sophomore year!

So it has been FOREVER since I have posted. Last semester ended really well, and then I had a great summer just living back at home, and working. This semester was my first semester as a sophomore. I can't believe how FAST time flew! I am just going to have a few posts to sum up some of the most exciting times I have had thus far!

Conference Weekend!

This week seriously was one of the best and funnest weeks i've had in Cedar City yet! It was conference weekend so we watched all four sessions of conference! This year was so great! The speakers were all so amazing! Some of my favorites though were Henry B. Eyring, Russell M. Nelson, Dallin H. Oaks from Saturday's sessions, and Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Paul V. Johnson, Lynn G. Robbins, and Jeffrey R. Holland from the Sunday sessions.

Also this week it was open mic night at Costa Vida, and I sang "before he cheats" by Carrie Underwood. It was the first time i had really ever performed and it was so scary! But lots of fun! I also tried catching snakes, fed a snake a rat, went rock climbing, went to a bomb fire, played night games at discovery park(which is the biggest most amazing park ever), went to panda for dinner one night, went to the apex building which is like this huge rec center with bball courts, kitchen, theater rooms, pool tables, ping pong, video game rooms, ect. We played some fun games and watched the movie "tourist".

Also this weekend we went to this place called the Gothum. Its kind of out of my element a lot of rock bands go and perform at it, but it was actually a ton of fun, we then we went hot tubing and watched a movie.

I must say though that the most epic thing we did this weekend was go through a car wash! We got in the back of a truck in our swim suites and went through it! I wish we could have gotten pics of when we were in it, or a video, but we didn't want anyone's camera getting ruined so we just took pics before and after!

Seriously though, such an amazing weekend full of spiritual and FUN!

Color Fest!

So most of you I'm sure have heard of the color fest! This is the 4th or 5th year I believe it has been going on, and I just live down the road from it, and I never been, so i thought it was about time i go! Elsha and I came up for it, and met up with a bunch of girls from High School and our Roommate Alissa came with us too! It was such a blast! Nothing like a giant chalk fight with 40,000 people! :)

Spring Break 2011!

For Spring Break this year I just went home. It was so nice to have a break from school, and to see old friends back home. My roommate Megan came up from Vegas the last couple days too. We went to spark, and saw a few of the SUU baseball games, went to the BYU young ambassadors show, went to yogurt bliss, and just hung out with a few of my friends. It was such a fun week full of adventure, but too bad I have to go back to school. :(

Forest in the Elevator

So the other day on facebook my roommates and I see a status talking about how there is a forest in the elevator? We were curious what that meant so we ran down the hallway to our elevator and to our surprise there were tons of trees just sitting in the elevator. We later find out it was our friends Jared and Nate. We thought it was the funniest thing ever we had to get a pic with it. Later that night we decided to hide behind the trees and scare people that came into the elevator. It was kind of funny to me that people would actually get into the elevator with all those trees...but they would. We would wait a second while they were just standing there and then start screaming and shaking the trees. They would scream so loud! It was great scaring people!

Shaving some man hairs

YUP! We did it! We finally got the boys to shave! ha ha. Our friends Nate and Jared have always been talking about how they think it would be funny to shave their legs, but they never had the guts to. So one night we finally got them too! It was so funny! Now they have legs as smooth as a babies bottom!

Masquarade Ball

For Sam Raleigh's 19th Birthday Party, she had some boys put on a Masquarade Ball for her! It was so much fun! It was just nice to get all dressed up again, like the good ol' days when we used to go to high school dances. They also had Ping Pong and air hockey and a huge pool! A couple of our friends from Cedar came up for it to, and it was nice to get together with a lot of the girls from high school.

St. George and Vegas!

So my friend Kali invited my roomate Elsha, and our our friend Ashby to go stay in her 2nd home in St. George for the weekend with two of her guy friends. It was a lot of fun! We went out to eat one night at Red Robin, went hiking to the Dixie sign and just explored up there, got milk shakes, watched the movie "taken", played guitar and had a jam out session, and just stayed up talking all night. The following day we made a nice breakfast for everyone, watched the BYU vs. Sandiago St. game. (We Jimmered them of course! ;) and then on a total whim decided to go to Vegas! We just went window shopping, went to macaroni grill for dinner, and saw the Belajio water show. The next day we just talked, went for a walk, and played a few games before heading home! Such a fun trip, and it was nice to get out of Cedar for the weekend! :)

Bowling Night!

So lately we've all been complaining there is absolutely nothing to do here in Cedar! ha ha. But we actually had a great weekend last week!! Our whole floor went bowling, but than we ended up kind of splitting up afterward. A group of us after we bowled when to a local food place here in town called the "Pastry Pub". They have the most amazing cake ever! It seriously is a piece of heaven! It was HUGE though, it took me 3 days to actually finish it! ha ha. After the pastry pub we watched "the killers", ok movie, seen better, but overall a really fun weekend! Hopefully more weekends like this to come! ha ha.

Just a little piece of heaven, or should I say BIG! haha
